Evelyn June White, age 78, died March 2, 2010 in Yorba Linda CA. Evelyn was born June 22, 1931 in Beulah, Michigan to George and Mildred Baker.
She graduated from Honor High School in 1949.
Evelyn married Mearl Kerby on October 9, 1949 and resided in Frankfort, Michigan until relocating to California. Evelyn owned and operated a drapery design business in Santa Rosa, California, where she resided with her husband and children, until his death.
On June 6th 2000 Evelyn and Wayne White were married in Hawaii and settled in Yorba Linda, California. She and Wayne were members of the Yorba Linda Presbyterian Church where she was an active member of the church choir.
Evelyn was a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend. She enjoyed music and celebrated her life as a caregiver to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred Baker, one daughter, Katherine Jean, who died in infancy, and one brother Elmer E. Baker of Honor, Michigan.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne White, mother-in-law Mildred Irene White both of Yorba Linda, CA.; daughter Bettye and husband Rod Lund, son Dennis Kerby and three grandchildren: Nicholas, Marissa, and Alex all of Santa Rosa, CA. Two sisters, Eunice Mero of Los Alamitos, CA, Lois Johnson and husband Fred of South Pittsburg, TN; one brother, Earl Baker and wife Bonnita of Beulah, Michigan, step son Gare W. White and wife Donna of Victorville, CA. and step daughter, Rhonda Reed of Irvine, CA. three step grandchildren Brian and Zackary White both of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Phillip White currently stationed in Hawaii, in addition to several nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service, Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m at the Yorba Linda Presbyterian Church. 19301 Yorba Linda Boulevard Yorba Linda, CA 92886
